DIARC® coatings are utilised for controlling the charge transfer and attenuation of electrostatic discharge (ESD). Typical applications are coatings of ceramic, metal and plastic parts such as grippers, stoppers, nozzles, cutters, routers, assembly stands, jigs and hand tools. Smart surface solutions are also used for on chip ESD protection for example in MEMS/NEMS applications. 

A case specific characterisation and qualification for factory level ESD control and on chip ESD protection will be applied for DIARC solutions.
